Fida, a leader in professional lighting for railway applications, has recently completed an ambitious lighting upgrade project at the historic Milano Centrale Station.
To replace the outdated metal halide lighting system with cutting-edge TLED technology, providing not only superior lighting quality but also greater energy efficiency.
The installation of the new TLED systems covered a large portion of the station, focusing on the platforms of tracks 08-09, 12-13, 14-15, 10-11, and 16-17, for a total length of approximately 1.3 km. Thanks to the installation of 726 TLEDs (170 cm each), the estimated energy savings exceed 60% compared to the previous system.
Now, the station shines with new light, ensuring greater safety and comfort for passengers in transit.
