Challenge
Digitize and improve the efficiency of Rome’s urban passenger information system, enhancing access to services for both citizens and tourists in a complex, high-traffic environment.
Solution
Development of an integrated network of digital devices for urban infomobility, including over 500 FIDA MDS interactive monitors. The overall project also included 1,400 bus shelters supplied by IGPDecaux, 270 Aesys LED bus stop displays and 500 advertising monitors, creating a widespread and connected digital ecosystem.
Result
A more extensive, up-to-date and accessible communication system, significantly improving the user experience. The project contributed to Rome’s recognition as an innovative city, with the Smart City Award 2025 and inclusion in the European Network of Living Labs.
