Our history
1961
It all began in 1961, in a garage in Brugherio, just 15 minutes from Milan. Felice Quadrio founded, together with his four brothers, a mechanical workshop.
Thanks to their will and perseverance, this small local reality passes from the laboratory dimension to that of mechanical industry.
1995
1995 was the turning point year. FIDA was born, now able to collect the technological heritage of the precursors specializing in both precision mechanics and industrial automation.
FIDA now associates its own brand with that of prestigious brands as the main manufacturer of vending machines. In just six years, inspired investments in technological research, allow the company to enter the Visual Communication market with important contracts such as the one for Poste Italiane.
2004
In 2004 FIDA begins the collaboration with Grandi Stazioni the national railway company. Variable messaging and digital signage systems are created, of which FIDA takes care of the design, construction, installation and management of the systems at 360 degrees, including the maintenance side.
The continuous search for innovation and the growth of internal know-how allow FIDA to enter the international market with its digital signage products. The Made in Italy brand of FIDA products acquires value and distinctive character over foreign competition.
2015
It’s 2015 and FIDA keeps its desire for innovation unchanged. A new line of displays for PID (Passenger Information Displays) applications with LED-SMD technology is therefore introduced, ideal for the Transportation market.
2021
We are ready for new challenges! We just celebrated 25 years since the birth of FIDA and almost 60 since the foundation of the first family business.
With the passage of time, however, the human characteristics of those who work with us remain unchanged: passion for their own professional updating, essential for maintaining high production quality standards, and ability to listen to customer needs. We are proudly attached to our history.

Environmental sustainability
As designer and manufacturers it is essential for us to create products with a low environmental impact and in the most sustainable way possible: our commitment starts from the design. At this stage, choices can be made that have a significant impact on the footprint of our products. In the last 12 months, more than 70,000kW of energy have been produced by photovoltaic panels, which we use for energy (gas an light) coming from renewable sources only. Our offices and our factory (about 10000mq) are illuminated with LED lamps.
Replaced the methane boiler with heat pump, allowing the elimination of gases emitted into the atmosphere.
